Solicitor – Civil Claims Against Public Bodies
Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor (NQ to 5 years PQE) to join an expanding team specialising in civil claims against public bodies. Based in Liverpool, this role will involve managing a caseload of civil litigation matters, including unlawful arrest, false imprisonment, human rights breaches, and other public body accountability issues. You will handle multi-track work and civil jury trials in a dynamic, target-driven environment.
Candidate Profile/Experience Needed:
- At least 3 years’ experience handling Part 7 litigation work
- Strong background in litigation with a focus on civil claims
- Experience running cases through to trial, including working with Counsel
- Excellent knowledge of the CPR and pre-action disclosure procedures
- Ability to manage a multi-track caseload
- Experience with case management systems (e.g., Proclaim) and high IT competency
- Exceptional client care and communication skills
What’s On Offer:
- Salary: Up to £45,000
- Standard working hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 5:30pm; Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Full training for solicitors with a strong civil litigation background (if applicable)
