Tax Manager
A respected and forward-thinking firm of accountants based in the Keighley area is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Tax Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a tax professional looking to take on a varied role within a supportive and client-focused environment.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a broad portfolio of personal tax clients, managing both compliance and advisory matters. The role offers exposure to a diverse range of work including inheritance tax (IHT) planning, trusts, and other complex personal tax issues, making it ideal for someone looking to develop their advisory expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing personal tax compliance for a portfolio of clients
- Providing tax planning and advisory services, particularly around IHT and trusts
- Reviewing and submitting self-assessment tax returns
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to their development
- Building strong client relationships and identifying advisory opportunities
Candidate Requirements:
- CTA qualified or qualified by experience in a similar tax-focused role
- Strong technical knowledge of personal tax, IHT, and trust matters
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
- A proactive and client-focused approach
