Role Overview
A leading UK law firm, with a strong national and international presence, is currently seeking an Associate to join their Commercial department based in Manchester.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to work across a broad spectrum of non-contentious commercial matters, from contract negotiations to advising on IP, data protection, and technology law.
The successful candidate will play a key role in advising clients, managing relationships, and contributing to the firm’s business development efforts.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong background in providing legal advice on commercial issues and arrangements. As a guide you will be expected to have a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience.
- Experience from a leading national or recognised regional firm. Alternatively, experience gained in-house with a substantial commercial team.
- Sound technical expertise, particularly in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Knowledge in areas such as data protection, competition law, e-commerce, IP protection, and brand exploitation.
- A proactive, client-facing approach, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
