    IPS Group are working with a global insurer company that offers a wide range insurance offering to diverse clients across several countries with a significant presence across the UK.

    Being one of the world’s largest insurers, they are seeking a New Business Underwriter to join their well-established Property & Package team in Birmingham. This is a newly created role where they are looking to be a major player in the SME/lower mid-market division. The organisation is really looking for someone that can offer their expertise and drive this forward as well as being part of this new journey for them.

    The Role/Team:

    In this role, you will be dealing with property and casualty policies across the SME / mid-market segment. The business has a diverse appetite so can write risks as either combined product or singular with premiums starting from 10k with no upper ceiling due to their corporate offering.

    You will be part of an overall team of 12 that has a mixture of experience so will have the opportunity to learn from your peers but also drive growth in this pocket of business they currently don’t see a lot of transaction. You will be supported by the wider group and Underwriting Managers that are based in Birmingham.

    Required Skills/Experience:

    We are looking to speak to individuals who have experience within a similar role with an insurer or an MGA. We will look at individuals who have experience working in underwriting as an AU that is seeking to take the next stage of their career.

    A great opportunity for a London Market Delegated Underwriting individual to join a City based Lloyds Syndicate. 

    You will assist the Delegated Underwriting Manager in the review of coverholder applications, approval of due diligence information and delegated authority contracts. 

    You will also be responsible for the review of audit reports, monitor any regulatory changes within the market and identify where any amendments are required to the existing policies.

    A European based MGA is recruiting for an experienced Delegated Authority or Binder Management professional to join their growing organisation in Germany. 

    In the role you will be required to setup and operate the insurance capacity of the company on a European scale.

    You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the binder infrastructure, deliver company obligations towards the insurers in terms of reporting and analytics along with building and developing strong relationships with each capacity provider.

    You will be responsible for representing the company in front of the relevant German regulatory and administrative authorities along with leading and developing the skills within the team, setting the company culture, processes and tools available for the team to utilise.

    The successful candidate will have a strong binder management background, an ability to negotiate with established capacity players and a background from the Lloyds and/or London market, be fluent in German and be happy to relocate to Hamburg where the team are currently set up.
