We are recruiting for an experienced and proactive Account Executive to join a thriving commercial division based in Horsham. You’ll be part of a supportive team of 16 people, working in a hybrid pattern of two days in the office (Thursday plus either Monday or Wednesday) and three days from home. Occasional in-office training sessions will help support your ongoing development.
This role is focused heavily on new business development. Around 75% of your time will be dedicated to networking, building relationships, and raising your profile across the local corporate and commercial markets. You will be targeting larger clients, aiming to build a strong book of business with accounts generating an income of £2,500 and above. In addition, you will manage an existing commercial book of around £50,000, developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
You will have full responsibility for creating and executing marketing strategies, identifying new opportunities, and managing the end-to-end new business process. Success in this role will be recognised and rewarded, not only with a competitive basic salary but also with a 25% commission on any new business you generate. Additionally, there is a 7% company bonus paid annually, offering excellent earning potential for high performers.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in commercial insurance, ideally already operating at Account Executive level or ready to take the next step.
