A London Market Insurer requires additional resource to join their Claims team to take responsibility for the delivery of the delegated claims process.
You will be tasked with the onboarding of new DCA entities, carrying out new and renewing due diligence processes and managing the administration of all DCA contracts.
You will also be involved in managing the DCA audit plan, arranging audits when required and following up on audit actions. You will ensure the claims bordereaux is accurate and complete, working with the wider claims operations team on the data capture element.

A leading Global Insurer have a rare new opportunity to join their Birmingham Branch as Branch Underwriting Manager in this key role that will blend high level technical underwriting, market facing trading and leadership. This is a senior leadership position which will oversee all commercial underwriting within the branch. Both existing Underwriting Managers looking for a new challenge and Senior Underwriters looking for a step up will be considered.
The main focus on this role will be the profitability of the property and casualty account however there will also be oversight of fleet book. The Branch will focus on premiums upwards of £10,000.
This will be a leadership role with 4 direct reports managing 2 Development Underwriters and 2 New Business Underwriters.
The branch has a broad commercial mid-market portfolio with large local underwriting empowerment. There is a heavy trading focus with a requirement to manage profitability while supporting retention and top-line growth. The branch-traded book is currently £75m GWP within a £125m regional portfolio. There are ambitious plans to grow to 100mil GWP in the next 3-5 years.
The role is broad, combining trading, sales, portfolio management, technical leadership, and broker-facing market presence. A key aspect of the role is balancing top-line growth with profitability – re-underwriting elements of the existing book, retaining key clients, and trading pragmatically in a competitive market where deals may need to be written below ideal rate to protect relationships. Strong technical capability at senior level is essential, as well as confidence operating within a local empowerment model. You won’t typically handle individual cases; most complex matters are referred in for your approval. The remit also includes portfolio management, performance analysis, working with finance, and other key stakeholders.
A salary of up to £95k + car allowance (£5,200) + 28 days holiday including a strong pension and benefits package.
