Working closely with clients, brokers, and insurers, you’ll ensure every claim is managed with the level of attention expected in the high net worth sector. We’re looking for someone with:
• At least five years’ experience in property or loss adjusting
• Cert CILA (minimum) – Dip CILA or progression towards it preferred
• A solid understanding of both domestic and commercial property claims
• Strong communication, negotiation and client-handling skills
• A full UK driving licence

This role plays a vital role within the Insurance department and is responsible for managing and mitigating risks arising from our leasing and corporate activities through the utilization of international insurance markets.

Defendant Claims Handler – Post Litigation
Location: Bradford, Hybrid

IPS Group is working with a respected legal firm seeking an experienced Defendant Claims Handler to join their established team in Bradford.
The Role/Team:
You will manage a varied caseload of Defendant EL/PL cases, mainly fast-track with some low-value matters. Responsibilities include handling files from instruction through to settlement, assessing liability as well as building a strong defence. You’ll be part of a team of 18 professionals, including 6 litigators and claims handlers who assist with pre-litigation work. You will have the chance to contribute to team success, get involved in projects, and support junior colleagues ensuring clients receive high-quality service.
Required Skills/Experience:
We are looking for a confident and experienced Defendant PI Litigator or Senior EL/PL Claims Handler with at least 5 years’ experience in an EL/PL claims role. Experience with retail claims is advantageous, along with the ability to hit the ground running in a busy, fast-paced team.
Candidates from either a legal or insurer background will be considered. Defendant-side experience is preferred, though those from a claimant background with strong technical knowledge and understanding of defendant processes are also encouraged to apply.
