    The team will cover all classes of Specialty and Commercial Lines written in the UK and Europe.
     
    In this key leadership role, your brief will be to drive forward and further develop the Product Development and Wordings capability and delivery within the business, working in partnership with the Underwriters and Senior Leadership.
     
    You will need strong technical expertise on a range of insurance products, and be able to demonstrate capability to work in partnership with Underwriters in delivering high quality products and wordings.
     
    In addition you need to demonstrate a track record working with and influencing senior stakeholders, being a voice that is heard at a senior level.

    IPS Group are partnered with a London Market Insurance business and are seeking to hire an Integration Finance specialist to support during the acquisition and integration of new entities into the Group. The successful candidate waffeill oversee the integration of Financial Operations, ensuring that Financial Reporting is aligned with acquisition timelines and providing seamless support to the M&A team during both pre and post-acquisition stages. You will help manage key financial transactions such as completion accounts and earnout calculations. 

    Key Duties:
    – Coordinate and facilitate the integration of acquisitions and work with each workstream to bridge gaps, provide support and manage the relationship with the vendor. 
    – Map valuation models of each deal, support the basis of the deal including any upcoming calculations to ensure that the sale and purchas agreement deadlines are met. 
    – Support the onboarded acquisition with six-monthly board reporting on post-acquisition performance and compare it against the initial valuation. 
    – Review completion accounts statement to ensure payments can be made within the timeframe set out in the SPA and detail any affects to Group Cash Flow to Finance Operations Director. 
    – Produce an NRC statement for each earnout period ensuring calculations are perofrmed in line with detailed SPA conditions. 

    Experience and Qualifications 
    – Proven experience working with M&A teams specifically handling SPAs, Completion Accounts and Earnout Calculations. 
    – Understanding of Group Financial Reporting. 
    – Stakeholder Management internally with Various Departments and externally with Prospective and Confirmed Vendors.
    – Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ICAS, or CIMA).

    A well respected Lloyds syndicate requires a data orientated Underwriting Assistant or Underwriting Operations Analyst to join their Operations team. 

    You will be required to support the Underwriting teams with processes, data systems and change, on both every day aspects and future projects. You will work closely with other teams across the business and wider group, delivering continuous improvement to existing processes and tools.

    Our client is a global brand, with a significant presence across the UK. It is committed to growing and continually developing its Property and Casualty proposition across the UK, specifically within the midmarket / corporate space in Scotland.

    Due to the above, they seek an experienced underwriter to join their existing business underwriting division team in Glasgow.

    The Role/Team:

    In this role, you will be dealing with property and casualty policies across the midmarket / corporate sector. The business has a diverse appetite so can write risks as either combined product or singular with premiums ranging from 10k-50k along with some more complex cases as well.  

    You will be part of a team of 13 that has a mixture of experience so will have the opportunity to learn from your peers as well. The team will be supported by senior underwriters and the Underwriting Manager who is based in the Glasgow office.

    If you are a technical underwriter who relishes the broker relationship management piece, this will particularly appeal to you.

    Required Skills/Experience:

    We are looking to speak to individuals who have experience within a similar role with an insurer or from a broker that has DUA. We will look at individuals who have experience working on commercial combined or a singular policy.

Writing on syndicate paper, you will focus on both new and renewal risks across a wide range of casualty portfolios, including general casualty, umbrella liability, medical malpractice, professional lines, and workers’ compensation. This is a large, established portfolio with a rich history. In addition to underwriting, you will mentor junior underwriters, play a pivotal role in expanding the US segment of the overall Casualty Treaty portfolio, and have the opportunity to travel to meet clients and attend industry events.
