You will be the lead on Hull, Liability and War Claims for this specialist Marine Underwriting Agency, a firm with ambitious growth plans and strong financial backing.

In addition to experience handing Marine Hull and Liability claims for a UK based Insurance firm, you will need to demonstrate capability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, within the business and across the market.

I am working with an established Specialty Lines Insurer who are currently in the process of expanding their Actuarial function. The opportunity will be a part of a small team where you will have excellent exposure to Senior Actuaries and wider stakeholders within the business. You’ll be part of a team handling e-trade SME package policies, covering property owners, shops, offices, trades, and mini fleets, with premiums typically up to £5,000. It’s not a development executive position. The focus is on learning and building your commercial expertise over time.

We’re looking for someone with e-trade or personal lines experience who’s ready to develop further. During probation, you’ll be in the office full-time for hands-on training. After that, it shifts to three days a week. Wednesday and Thursday are fixed, and you can choose either Monday or Friday for the third day.

Day-to-day, you’ll manage renewals, sell and service package policies, and build strong relationships with SME clients ove the telephone and via email, following up clients who have processed qoutes online.
