    This position would suit someone who already has a grounding in insurance and is looking to take the next step in their career. You may currently be working within personal lines (motor, home) or SME e-trade commercial lines and looking to move into a broader commercial role.     About You

    IPS Group are supporting a well established and growing MGA who are looking to hire a Quality Assurance Officer in this newly created role. This position has come about due to the continued growth of the business and the increasing need to maintain high standards across underwriting operations.

    The role will sit within the risk and compliance function, reporting directly to the Head of Risk and Compliance, and will work closely alongside the existing Compliance and Audit Officer.

    The focus of the role is to carry out quality assurance audits on underwriting files managing around 90 audits per month.  You will provide meaningful feedback to underwriters. It’s not just about ticking boxes; it’s about identifying trends, supporting training, and helping to get to the root cause of any issues so the business can continue to improve.

    You’ll be supporting the leadership team and playing a key part in maintaining and enhancing underwriting standards. To be considered, you’ll need to have experience in quality assurance within a general insurance setting, this could be within a Broker, Insurer or MGA, this is essential.
    The role requires someone who’s detail-oriented, confident in communicating with underwriters, and comfortable delivering training and feedback. You’ll be in the office two days a week, with the rest of the time spent working remotely.

    A global Insurer requires a London Market Underwriting Operations Director with company and syndicate experience to lead underwriting support and business operations across the UK and Europe. This strategic leadership role with two direct reports will oversee a broad portfolio including underwriting operations, service centre performance, operational excellence, facilities, business continuity, and offshore service delivery.   Addressing high levels of complex business problems to daily office based operational issues you must have a deep understanding of underwriting principles, systems, and technology as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.  As a senior member of the Operations team, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering operational strategy, driving transformation, and ensuring the highest standards of service, efficiency, and resiliency.

    Leading consulting firm with a respected and long established group risk benefits consulting arm has an immediate requirement for an additional consultant to join the practice.  There can be some flexibility around seniority but the key requirements will be a track record in group Life/PHI/Healthcare consulting with a recognised player in the EBC market with the focus on medium to large corporate clients.

    This Specialty (Re)Insurance business are hiring an International Financial Controller to build strength at the Finance Leadership level and deputise for the CFO where appropriate. As the organisation continues to grow organically and through acquisition they require a strong Controller/Director to support the business in making strategic decisions. 

    – Lead the delivery of the International Board, US Group, Statutory Reporting for the UK and overseas entities.
    – Continuously develop Internal Controls and Accounting Policies to deliver process redesign and implementation where required.
    – Oversee a Reporting Team consisting of three FTE (Qualified Professionals), coaching/developing staff and managing performance. 
    – Ensure timely completion of the monthly/quarterly/annual close processes. 
    – Partner with the Head of Finance Operations to ensure to delivery of Expense Reporting. 
    – Partner with UK Tax Manager to ensure delivery of direct and indirect tax processes, computations and filings. 
    – Act as a commercial partner to local MDs of Business Units to optimise value creation for the Group and strategic initatives. 
    – Support the CFO with M&A activities (due-diligence of potential acquisition targets) and integration. 
    – Oversee the delivery of Internal/External Audit activities in respect of Finance deliverables and respond to any queries. 

    Candidate Specification
    – Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/ICAS/CA/CIMA) with experience in a Top 10 Accounting Firm. 
    – Signification post-qualification experience in the Insurance industry (Broking, MGA or Insurance Carrier). 
    – Understanding or Experience of the Lloyd’s Market would be an advantage. 
    – Experience reporting under FRS102 and IFRS. 
    – Knowledge of SOX, US GAAP and SEC Reporting. 
    – Desire to play an integral role in a fast-paced environment.
