    Duties of Accounts Administrator:

    A growing and highly regarded professional services firm is seeking a Finance Manager to take ownership of its internal finance function during an exciting period of growth.

    There is the opportunity to work 2 to 3 days from home.

    This opportunity would suit a Practice Manager or Finance Manager from a professional services firm, or an accountant currently working in practice who is looking to move away from a client-facing role and into a commercially focused internal position. The role offers significant responsibility, strategic involvement in the business, and a clear pathway toward a future Director-level position for the right candidate.

    Working closely with the leadership team, the successful candidate will oversee the internal finance operations while supporting ongoing integration and operational improvements within the business.

    Our client is a privately owned, multi-site group with turnover in the £50m–£100m range, operating across three entities – each currently on separate finance systems – and actively acquiring. The business has grown quickly and is now investing seriously in the professionalisation of its finance function: stronger controls, scalable processes, and the right leadership to support the next phase.

    The Role

    Reporting to the CFO, the Group Financial Controller will take ownership of financial control across the group, bringing rigour, structure and confidence to a business that has the commercial momentum to match its ambitions. You’ll lead a finance team of around five, plus resource at recently acquired subsidiaries, and work closely with the Board and senior leadership on everything from month end to acquisition integration.

    The business is also mid-way through an ERP selection process – a genuine opportunity to shape the system infrastructure from the ground up, rather than inherit someone else’s decisions.

    The CFO is commercially sharp and sets high standards. This is a great role for somebody who wants to be challenged and join a business through an exiting growth phase with a clear end goal.

    A well established Harrogate property group is looking for a Finance Manager to play a central role in a stable growing business. You’ll have genuine visibility across the group, a close working relationship with the Head of Finance, and the satisfaction of seeing your work directly shape business decisions.

    You’ll take the lead on management accounts across four group companies, overseeing month end reporting, ledgers, reconciliations, and service charge budgets. You’ll mentor and supervise two Assistant Accountants, ensure compliance is watertight, and deliver clear financial insight to senior leadership. It’s a broad, hands-on position with real scope – ideal for someone who thrives when given responsibility and the autonomy to get on with it.

    You’re a qualified or experienced accountant who’s comfortable producing full sets of accounts and keeping multiple plates spinning without dropping any. Experience in property or multi entity environments is a bonus, but your attention to detail, organisation, and confidence in a hands on team matter more.
