Tax Senior
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Senior or Tax Manager Designate to join an independent accountancy firm in Leeds.
The role is predominantly personal tax and compliance focussed, working closely with the partners and a varied portfolio of owner-managed and private clients. Alongside the compliance work, you will have the opportunity to provide ad-hoc support on advisory projects, giving you the chance to broaden your experience and progress towards a future management position.
The role would suit an experienced personal tax professional looking for a progressive opportunity within a well-established independent firm.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients.
- Preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns and associated tax computations.
- Dealing with HMRC correspondence and client queries.
- Providing practical day-to-day tax advice to clients.
- Supporting the partner with ad-hoc personal and business tax advisory projects.
- Building strong, long-term client relationships.
- Assisting with the development and mentoring of more junior members of the tax team.
- Taking increasing responsibility for the delivery and review of client work.
The ideal candidate will have strong personal tax experience gained within an accountancy practice, with excellent technical knowledge and a client-focused approach. ACA/CTA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified candidates will be considered alongside strong tax professionals with relevant experience.
