    Subsidence Claims Handler
    Remote
    £28,000- £32,000

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Subsidence Desk Technician to join a well-established, specialist loss adjusting business with over 25 years of experience across domestic and commercial claims.
With a strong reputation for quality and client service, this is an opportunity to join a growing team where technical development, career progression and high standards of claims handling are at the forefront.

    The Role

Based initially at the company’s Southampton head office, you will play an important role in supporting the Subsidence Team and wider business, helping to manage claims efficiently and deliver a high-quality service to customers and insurer clients.
Your responsibilities will include conducting initial triage calls to assess the validity of subsidence claims and determine whether site investigations are required, reviewing policy cover and terms, preparing reports and ensuring claims progress in line with agreed service levels.
You will also maintain accurate claim records, manage amendments and updates within the claims system, and communicate effectively with customers, insurers and colleagues throughout the claims process. The role requires someone who can handle challenging conversations professionally, identify solutions and maintain a proactive approach to progressing claims.

    About You

You’ll ideally have experience within insurance claims, loss adjusting or a similar environment, alongside strong customer service and administrative skills. The ability to communicate complex information clearly, manage competing priorities and maintain accuracy is essential.
You’ll be confident handling difficult conversations, comfortable working independently and capable of taking ownership of your workload. Strong problem-solving skills and a quality-driven approach will be important to your success.
Cert CII, Cert CILA, BDMA or a similar qualification would be advantageous, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

    What’s on Offer

    • Hybrid working following successful probation.
    • Discretionary company bonus.
    • 25 days’ annual leave, increasing to 27 days after three years and 30 days after five years.
    • An additional day off for your birthday.
    • 5% contributory pension.
    • Private healthcare and death-in-service cover.
    • Enhanced maternity, adoption, paternity and sick pay.
    • Electric vehicle and cycle-to-work schemes.
    • 24/7 GP access and employee assistance programme.
    • Holiday purchase scheme and long-service awards.
    • Full exam and study support, with opportunities for career development and progression.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop specialist knowledge within subsidence claims and build a long-term career with an established loss adjusting business that genuinely invests in its people.
