    Overview This role leads the technical management of complex subsidence cases. You will provide expert investigation, solution design, and oversight of repair strategies, while mentoring engineers and influencing continuous improvement across the claims process.

    Key Responsibilities Technical Expertise & Investigation

    • Lead assessment and resolution of complex subsidence, heave, landslip and structural movement cases.
    • Conduct detailed site investigations, interpret technical data and implement effective remediation solutions.
    • Review historic and long-running cases to determine optimal technical pathways forward.
    • Produce clear, accurate technical reports and cost assessments.
    • Oversee repair works, ensuring compliance with CDM and H&S standards.

    Claim & Project Management

    • Manage the full lifecycle of complex technical claims.
    • Liaise with contractors, suppliers and specialist engineers to scope and deliver repair solutions.
    • Support refinement of repair methods, rates and procurement processes for improved efficiency.

    Leadership & Mentoring

    • Provide technical guidance to engineering and claims teams.
    • Develop and deliver training sessions to support internal capability.
    • Participate in quality assurance and audit processes, identifying and resolving training or process gaps.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Contribute to development of tools, repair models and technical processes.
    • Engage with technical and client forums to share insights and best practice.

    Required Experience & Qualifications

    • Chartered Engineer (CEng) — e.g., MICE or MIStructE.
    • Strong experience managing complex subsidence, heave or ground movement investigations.
    • Solid understanding of geotechnical and structural engineering principles.
    • Demonstrable experience mentoring or leading technical staff.
    • Customer-focused and solution-led approach.
