Practice Bookeeper
An established firm of chartered accountants in Sheffield is looking to appoint a Bookkeeper to support a varied client portfolio.
This is a part time position suited to someone comfortable managing day-to-day transactional finance and VAT compliance across multiple clients.
The role
- Maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of clients
- Process invoices, receipts and payments
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC deadlines
- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Liaise directly with clients to gather information and respond to queries
- Use cloud accounting software including Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
What they are looking for
- Bookkeeping experience within practice or multi-client environment
- Strong working knowledge of VAT returns
- Confident using Xero and other accounting software
- Good attention to detail and ability to manage workload independently
- Comfortable dealing with clients directly
Salary to £30,000
