    Motor Fraud Claims Handler
Location: Manchester City Centre (office-based during probation)
Salary: Up to £33,000 + 10% Discretionary Bonus
Working Hours: 40 hours per week

IPS Group is working with an innovative and fast-growing InsurTech that is continuing to expand its UK claims operation. Due to ongoing growth, they are looking to appoint a Motor Fraud Claims Handler to join their newly established claims team in Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity to join the business at an exciting stage of its journey. As one of the early hires within the claims function, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact, contribute to the development of fraud processes and investigation strategies, and position yourself for future progression as the team continues to grow.

    The Role
You will take ownership of a portfolio of suspected opportunistic and organised fraudulent motor claims, investigating cases from initial referral through to conclusion. This will include a mixture of Accidental Damage, Personal Injury and Credit Hire claims, where you’ll be responsible for identifying fraud indicators, gathering evidence and making informed decisions based on your findings. Working closely with customers, third parties, solicitors and external suppliers, you’ll conduct detailed investigations, analyse complex claim information and challenge inconsistencies where appropriate. You’ll utilise industry intelligence tools and databases, conduct telephone interviews and work with external specialists to build robust cases and protect the business from fraudulent activity.

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    • Managing a portfolio of suspected fraudulent motor claims through to conclusion
    • Investigating Accidental Damage, Personal Injury and Credit Hire fraud matters
    • Conducting detailed investigations, reviewing evidence and identifying fraud indicators
    • Utilising industry databases including CUE, SIRA, MIAFTR and CIFAS
    • Liaising with customers, third parties, solicitors and external suppliers
    • Making informed decisions regarding repudiation, policy voidance and fraud outcomes

    About You
You’ll have previous Motor Fraud claims experience and be confident handling investigations from initial referral through to conclusion. Ideally, you’ll have experience investigating suspected fraudulent motor claims and possess a strong understanding of motor insurance, liability, indemnity, bodily injury and credit hire claims. You’ll also have excellent analytical and communication skills, a keen eye for detail and the confidence to challenge suspicious activity and make evidence-based decisions.

    What’s in it for You?
With a competitive basic salary, 10% discretionary bonus, private medical cover, life insurance and pension support, you’ll be well rewarded for your contribution, alongside a range of additional benefits. The role is hybrid following probation, with four days per week in the office. This is a rare opportunity to join a newly established claims function within a growing InsurTech business. As one of the first members of the team, you’ll have genuine opportunities to develop your career as the operation expands whilst helping to shape the future success of the department.

If you’re looking for a fresh challenge within a modern, technology-driven insurer and want to play a key role in combating fraud and protecting the business from fraudulent activity, we’d love to hear from you.
