Management Accountant
A leading facilities management business with a turnover of c.£200m is seeking a talented Management Accountant to join their finance team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment, supporting a business that continues to grow and invest in its people.
The Role The Management Accountant will play a key role in the delivery of accurate financial information, business partnering with operational teams, and supporting decision-making. Working within a well-structured finance function and reporting to a Finance Manager, the role offers variety, responsibility, and progression opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis and commentary.
- Business partnering with operational managers to provide financial insight and support.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
- Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end reporting.
- Supporting group reporting requirements and liaising with auditors.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting.
The Candidate The ideal candidate will be:
- Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
- Experienced in management accounting, ideally within a large or multi-site business.
- Confident in working with ERP systems – prior experience of Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous.
- Strong in Excel and comfortable working with large data sets.
- A proactive communicator, able to explain financial information to non-finance colleagues.
