Junior Associate – Catastrophic Injury
The RoleAn established national law firm is seeking a Junior Associate to join its Catastrophic Injury & Large Loss team in Manchester.
The successful candidate will work on high-value, complex defendant cases involving motor, employer’s liability, public liability and indemnity claims. You’ll support partners and senior lawyers across all aspects of catastrophic injury litigation while developing your own caseload and client relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting on liability investigations, coverage assessments and quantum issues.
- Drafting legal documents, pleadings and client advice.
- Managing files under supervision and maintaining client reporting standards.
- Attending hearings, conferences and client meetings.
- Supporting business development and wider team initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- NQ or Junior Associate with experience in personal injury or defendant litigation (claimant experience with transferable skills also considered).
- Strong analytical, drafting and communication skills.
- Highly organised, proactive and confident working in a fast-paced environment.
- Keen interest in complex, high-value injury work.
