This well-established Insurance business are recruiting a Head of Finance to lead a centralised Finance department, overseeing the day-to-day activities including the Management of Financial Reporting and Operations, Accounting and Strategic Planning (FP&A).
Responsibilities
– Develop and enhance accounting processes to ensure compliance with Regulatory and Statutory requirements and standards.
– Manage the Budgeting, Forecasting and Management/Financial Reporting to prove insight into the organisations’ performance.
– Monitor and enforce robust Internal Controls.
– Liaise with External Auditors to ensure transparency and accountability and to mitigate any financial risks.
– Provide strategic recommendations based on Financial Analysis to support decision-making at all levels.
– Oversee Cash Flow, Investments and Treasury to ensure optimal resource allocation.
– Supervise the Insurer Payables (IBA) function.
Candidate Specification
– Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
– Proven leadership experience in a Finance role ideally within an Insurance environment
– Strong experience in Reporting (Financial, Statutory and Regulatory) and Management Accounting
– Resides within a commutable distance to Middlesex (requirement for the successful candidate to travel to this location three days per week and City of London once per month)
