A leading firm of Chartered Accountants based in Leeds city centre is seeking a Client Accounting Manager to join its established and growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys both client-facing responsibilities and internal team management.
The firm prides itself on delivering a first-class service across a wide range of areas including accounts preparation, taxation compliance, outsourcing solutions, bookkeeping, payroll, consultancy, and general business advice. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a portfolio of clients while also contributing to the ongoing development of the wider team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of clients, primarily incorporated businesses, while also supporting unincorporated clients and individuals where required.
- Taking responsibility for compliance matters, including annual accounts and corporation tax returns.
- Providing personal tax planning advice to individuals.
- Reviewing and preparing annual accounts and tax computations.
- Supervising, mentoring, and developing team members to ensure client needs are met.
- Overseeing workflow management, WIP, billing, and KPI performance for the team.
- Acting as the primary relationship contact for clients, ensuring excellent service delivery.
- Promoting the Accounts & Outsourcing team internally and externally, with clients, professional contacts, and prospective clients.
- Identifying cross-servicing and business development opportunities.
About You:
- ACA or ACCA fully qualified.
- Proven experience gained within an accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of accounts preparation for both incorporated and unincorporated clients.
- Experience with IRIS, Xero and Sage is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication, organisational, and people management skills.
- Ability to manage workflow, deadlines, and competing priorities effectively.
- Confident working independently while being a collaborative team player.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and advanced Excel skills.
