Join a fast-growing, data-driven syndicate on a mission to double its specialty reinsurance portfolio over the next five years. With a strong foundation and standout performance across niche lines — including cyber, terrorism, nuclear, surety, and more — this is a rare opportunity to shape strategy and drive growth for this truly global portfolio all from London. The book is weighted towards Cyber and terrorism, and a bias towards US cedents.
You’ll be part of a high-performing reinsurance team, surrounded by peers who are experts in their classes and passionate about innovation. As Senior Underwriter, you’ll take full ownership of the specialty portfolio, with all the actuarial, claims and underwriting support needed to enable smart, ambitious underwriting. The syndicate values curiosity, analytical thinking, and a first-principles approach to risk — not just class-specific experience. If you thrive on data, understand market dynamics, and want to think differently, this is your platform.
We’re looking for someone with the seniority, ambition, and drive to grow this portfolio. Whether your background is in reinsurance, insurance, or actuarial, your mindset is what matters most. You’ll be empowered to set strategy, challenge convention, and shape the future of specialty reinsurance — supported by training where needed.
