A well-established independent accountancy practice based in Otley is seeking an experienced General Practice Accountant to take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practice-trained accountant who enjoys working closely with SMEs, owner-managed businesses and local entrepreneurs, providing hands-on support and trusted advice.
The Role
- Managing your own portfolio of clients across a range of sectors
- Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Producing management accounts and VAT returns
- Preparing personal and corporate tax returns
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, building strong long-term relationships
- Supporting and reviewing junior staff where appropriate
The Candidate
- ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice is essential
- Confident managing client relationships independently
- Proficient with accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
- Organised, personable and commercially aware
