Financial Controller
An established manufacturing business in the Market Weighton area is looking to appoint a Financial Controller. Part of a wider group, the business requires an experienced finance professional to lead the finance function and provide accurate reporting and commercial insight.
Leading a small finance team, you will take ownership of financial reporting and controls, with a particular focus on manufacturing performance, ERP driven reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a small finance team
- Own month-end and group reporting
- Manage budgets, forecasts and cash flow
- Analyse manufacturing costs, margins and operational performance
- Maintain strong financial controls and balance sheet integrity
- Use ERP data to improve financial and operational reporting
- Support senior management with commercial analysis and decision-making
- Coordinate year-end audit and external reporting requirements
About you
- Qualified accountant with experience in manufacturing or engineering
- Background in an SME, subsidiary or divisional finance environment
- Experience reporting into a wider group structure
- Strong ERP systems experience
- Confident with Excel, reporting and financial analysis
- Previous team management experience
- Comfortable combining hands-on finance with commercial support.
The position combines team leadership, manufacturing finance, ERP and group reporting with direct exposure to senior management.
Salary to £70,000
