Senior Accountant
Our client, an established independent accountancy practice based in the Hull area, is looking to recruit an experienced practice accountant into a mixed accounts and tax position. The role can be shaped around either a Senior Accountant or Manager, depending on experience, making it an excellent opportunity for someone seeking career progression alongside genuine flexibility.
Working as part of a collaborative and supportive finance team, you will manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, providing high-quality accounting, taxation and advisory services. More experienced applicants will also have the opportunity to review work completed by colleagues and support the development of junior team members.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of owner-managed business clients across a range of sectors.
- Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
- Complete personal and corporate tax returns.
- Provide day-to-day accounting and tax advice to clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact.
- Manage your own workload to meet deadlines and deliver a high standard of client service.
- Review accounts and tax work where appropriate.
- Support and mentor junior members of the team, depending on experience.
Package and working pattern
- Salary of £35,000 to £50,000+, depending on experience.
- Full-time or part-time applications welcomed.
- Hybrid and flexible working arrangements available.
