The Finance Manager will be a key member of the finance function, reporting into the directors and working closely with the SLT. The role will take ownership of management reporting, financial planning and control, and will provide commercial insight to support decision making across the organisation. The position also includes responsibility for managing a small finance team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation and review of monthly and annual management accounts
- Production of budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections
- Analysis of financial performance, including investigation of variances against budget and forecast
- Provision of timely and accurate financial information to senior stakeholders
- Supporting business planning and operational decision making
- Oversight of financial controls and compliance with relevant regulations
- Liaison with external advisers, auditors and other stakeholders
- Line management and development of two finance team members
- Driving improvements to finance processes, systems and controls
The ideal candidate will:
- Have strong experience in management accounting and financial reporting
- Demonstrate advanced Excel capability and strong systems knowledge
- Be confident managing change and implementing process improvements
- Possess strong commercial awareness and sound financial judgement
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000
