Management Accountant
A well-established Yorkshire manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their growing Finance Team.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant to progress their career while working in a supportive and dynamic environment. The business offers flexible working arrangements, including some homeworking days.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger management
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, providing insightful analysis to support decision-making
- Provide technical accounting expertise and guidance across the business
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
- Develop and enhance financial controls and procedures
- Support the development and standardisation of consolidated reporting systems
- Coordinate with external auditors and support year-end audit and statutory accounts preparation
What we’re looking for
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or part-qualified
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with a keen eye for detail
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Proactive, professional, and committed to continuous development
