The Underwriting Desk has been the most profitable division in our organisation for over 50 years and are excited to share they are expanding and are looking for an Associate Consultant to join them. This is a newly created position that offers lots of variety:
Main Responsibilities:
• Provide general administrative support including interview coordination for the Underwriting Team
• Liaise with candidates over the phone, by email and in person ensuring they receive a professional and comprehensive recruitment service
• Writing and placing job advertisements
• Use our CRM and job boards to identify, source and shortlist candidates
• Work on ad hoc recruitment projects
• Assist with managing the candidate journey
• On occasions you may be asked to join client meetings

• You will shadow and learn from a team of successful and highly experienced Recruitment Consultants with a combined total of over 55 years of recruiting experience
• This is an opportunity to work on a busy and financially rewarding desk whose client base consists of high-calibre London Market insurers, brokers and intermediaries
• The team have a track record of growing and developing successful recruiters
• 50% of the team moved into recruitment having started their career within the insurance industry
• There is genuine potential to earn uncapped commission
• You will work alongside the team on Mid to Senior positions attracting high-quality individuals
• This role will offer you the support and tools to take ownership of your career to become a successful Recruitment Consultant
• You will work in a highly collaborative environment for a business that isn’t driven by aggressive KPIs
• Hybrid working
What we are looking for:
Prior recruitment experience isn’t required for this role, if you have had some experience working in an office environment and have the below skills we would love to hear from you:
• The passion and hunger to become a Recruitment Consultant and build a career in this industry
• Evidence of organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and use your time effectively and efficiently
• Self-motivation
• A professional and friendly phone manner with the ability to build a rapport
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• The willingness and attitude to learn and grow
• The drive to deliver results, meet individual and team targets
• Be a self-motivated individual who can work independently
*preference would be given to individuals who have completed some work experience within the insurance industry – although this is not essential!
